Correos appointment for Spain's 2026 regularisation — how to get it quickly
Correos (the Spanish postal service) receives applications for the 2026 extraordinary regularisation at 373 offices across Spain, by prior appointment only and free of charge. The appointment itself, however, is not requested at Correos: it goes through the official portal of the Ministry of Inclusion, through the web form, or by phoning 060. This guide explains, step by step, how to get your appointment without wasting time, what to do if there are no slots, and how to prepare for the day of the appointment. If you are still not sure whether you qualify, the eligibility questionnaire tells you in two minutes.
What role Correos plays in the process
Correos is one of the four official channels enabled to submit the 2026 regularisation application. Its network of 373 offices, located in provincial capitals and municipalities with more than 50,000 inhabitants, receives files Monday to Friday within a wide time window (08:30 to 17:30). Correos staff do not decide your application: they simply check that the documentation is complete, scan it, forward it to the Ministry of Inclusion, and give you a submission receipt. The final decision is made afterwards by a specialist civil servant of the Ministry, not Correos. That is why the postal route is not suitable for resolving legal doubts: if your case has nuances, the main guide to the in-person process and the eligibility questionnaire are your first steps.
The 3 channels to request the appointment (and which one to choose)
The Ministry offers three official channels, all free. The prior appointment is not requested at Correos or by phone to the local post office: it always goes through the Ministry's channels.
1. With Cl@ve (the most complete option)
If you have Cl@ve (Spain's government digital identity system) or a digital certificate, go to the official portal inclusion.gob.es/regularizacion, log in, and enter the appointment form. Decisive advantage: you can choose the specific office, day, and time within the available slots. It is the ideal option if you have a preferred office or time.
2. Web form (without digital ID)
On the same portal inclusion.gob.es/regularizacion there is a public form that does not require Cl@ve. You provide your personal details, postal address, and locality preferences, and the system assigns you the closest available appointment, without letting you choose the office or time slot. Useful for people who do not have Cl@ve, with one limitation: if your area is saturated, the system may assign you a distant office.
3. Phone 060
If you prefer to speak to a person or you do not have a good internet connection, call 060: service in Spanish, Monday to Friday, 09:30-14:00 and 16:30-19:30. Human operator, free of charge. Have your passport or ID document and a reference address to hand so they can assign the closest office.
Important: no one can charge you for the appointment. Any "guaranteed appointment" offer for 100 EUR or similar that is circulating on social media is fraud; an appointment obtained that way can be cancelled.
Family in a single appointment: if you are applying for several members of the same cohabitation unit (spouse or partner and first-degree ascendants/descendants), the system allows you to book a single joint appointment at Correos. The applications will be decided at the same time. Make sure to indicate this when booking.
Step by step via the web form (the most common route)
For the form without Cl@ve at inclusion.gob.es/regularizacion:
- Go to the "Cita previa" (prior appointment) section of the portal and select the option without digital ID.
- Fill in your personal details: full name exactly as it appears on your passport, date of birth, passport or ID number, nationality.
- Add your contact details: email, mobile phone, and postal address. Fill them in carefully — the appointment confirmation and any subsequent communication will arrive by those same channels (email or SMS), so a typo here can mean you miss the assigned date.
- Indicate the province and locality where you would prefer to attend. You can add an alternative radius if you are open to nearby offices.
- Select the type of office from those enabled: Correos, Oficina de Extranjería (Foreigners' Office) or Seguridad Social (Spain's Social Security). For most standard profiles, Correos is the option with the widest hours.
- Confirm and send the form. The system will give you a reference number; keep it.
- Wait for the confirmation with assigned office, day, and time. It usually arrives by email or SMS within hours or one or two days, depending on demand.
If you use the Cl@ve route, the flow is similar but you choose office/date in real time and the confirmation is immediate.
Tips if the system is saturated
The first week of the process has produced heavy saturation in Barcelona and Madrid and quiet offices in the Canary Islands and much of northern Spain. If the system tells you there are no nearby slots:
- Widen the geographic radius: try municipalities in the metropolitan area. In Madrid: Alcorcón, Móstoles, Leganés, Getafe, Alcalá de Henares. In Barcelona: L'Hospitalet, Badalona, Sabadell, Terrassa. In Seville: Dos Hermanas, Alcalá de Guadaíra, Tomares. In Valencia: provincial capitals or large municipalities of the Valencian Community.
- Switch channel: if the web form does not give you a slot, try 060, or the other way around. Each channel manages its agenda with some independence, and occasionally slots appear on one that are not visible on the other.
- Try at different times of day: the system releases slots irregularly, so refreshing every few hours increases the odds of catching a cancellation.
- Consider the online route: if you have Cl@ve or work with a lawyer, graduado social (a Spanish licensed labour-law professional), or registered NGO, you can submit the application directly online 24/7 without any appointment.
- Never pay for an appointment: it is fraud and illegal. The Administration has been explicit about this.
What to bring on the day of the appointment
If everything goes well, you will arrive at the Correos office with a confirmed appointment. The minimum essentials on the day:
- Form EX-32 (or EX-31 if you have a prior international protection application) completed and signed.
- Valid passport with full copy.
- All documentation for your chosen route (employment contract, family documents, or vulnerability certificate, as applicable).
- Proof of payment of the 38.28 EUR fee (Modelo 790 código 052).
We will soon publish a complete downloadable checklist with the exact list of documents by profile. In the meantime, the documentation section of the main guide to the process has the detail.
Common mistakes when booking
- Filling in contact details incorrectly: a typo in your email or an outdated phone number means a lost confirmation. Check twice before sending.
- Thinking Correos manages the appointment: it doesn't. Correos only receives the documentation on the day of the appointment. The agenda is handled by the Ministry.
- Accepting a "bought" appointment: fraud. It can be cancelled and leave you without a slot.
- Waiting until June: the deadline closes on 30 June 2026. Slots in May and June are the first to fill. The earlier you book, the more margin you have.
- Turning up without an appointment: you will not be seen. The Ministry has repeated it: "no one will be seen without a prior appointment".
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to book an appointment at Correos? Nothing. The prior appointment is completely free, whether you request it through Cl@ve, the web form, or phone 060. Correos does not charge for receiving your application on the day of the appointment either.
Can I turn up without an appointment at the nearest Correos office? No. Without an appointment you will not be seen. It is compulsory for all four channels (Correos, Oficina de Extranjería, Seguridad Social, or online with digital ID).
Can I change or cancel an appointment once assigned?
Yes. In the same portal inclusion.gob.es/regularizacion you can manage your appointment, or you can call 060. If you cannot attend, cancel in advance to free up the slot.
How quickly will the appointment be confirmed? With Cl@ve, confirmation is immediate. Via the web form or 060, it usually arrives by email or SMS within hours or one or two days depending on demand.
What happens if I miss the appointment or arrive late? You will have to request a new appointment from scratch. There are no automatic justifications or reassignments.

Conclusion
The prior appointment is free, compulsory, and easy to request if you know the three channels. For profiles with digital ID, Cl@ve is the fastest and most precise option. Without Cl@ve, the web form works well as long as the contact details are carefully filled in. Phone 060 is the perfect plan B if the portals are saturated. The only thing you must not do is pay: anything that smells like a "guaranteed appointment for X euros" is fraud.
Once you have the appointment, the next step is preparing the exact documentation for your route (employment, family, or vulnerability). For that, we recommend the main guide to the in-person process. We will also soon publish the complete downloadable checklist by profile and the manual on the vulnerability certificate (RECEX) for those applying under the third route.
