Arraigo Socioformativo (Vocational Training Residence)
Temporary residence authorisation via arraigo socioformativo (Spain's rooted residence permit for people completing an in-person vocational training programme with 2+ years of continuous stay). For people who have lived in Spain for 2 years and commit to an in-person regulated training programme.

Requisitos generales
Prove at least 2 years of continuous residence in Spain. Maximum 90 days of absences during that period.
Admission to an in-person regulated training programme: FP (Formación Profesional — Spain's vocational training system), ESO para adultos (Educación Secundaria Obligatoria — Spain's compulsory secondary education, adult track), certificado de profesionalidad (Spanish professional certificate), or training included in the SEPE (Servicio Público de Empleo Estatal — Spain's public employment service) catalogue. It must be in-person; online is not accepted.
No criminal record in Spain or in your country of origin.
You must not be subject to an active return order, expulsion order, or entry ban.
Complete valid passport.
Prove sufficient financial means to support yourself during the training period. Reference amount: the monthly IPREM (Indicador Público de Renta de Efectos Múltiples, Spain's baseline income threshold — 600.53 EUR/month in 2026).

Errores que llevan a la denegación
⚠️ Enrolling in an online or distance-learning training programme
Consecuencia: Denial. Arraigo socioformativo requires in-person training.
Solución: Only in-person programmes at authorised centres are accepted. Online, blended, or distance-learning courses are NOT valid.
⚠️ Stopping attendance once the arraigo has been granted
Consecuencia: Possible revocation of the authorisation at renewal
Solución: Attend regularly and obtain a certificate of satisfactory progress. Renewal is conditional on training progress.
⚠️ Enrolling at a centre that is not officially recognised
Consecuencia: Denial
Solución: Check that the centre is authorised: public FP centres, accredited centres, ESO para adultos institutes, or SEPE reference centres.
