Spain's 2026 extraordinary regularization no longer accepts applications
This questionnaire told you in two minutes whether you could apply for the extraordinary regularization of Royal Decree 316/2026. Its deadline closed on 30 June 2026 and there was no extension, so today the answer would be "no" for everyone: new applications are not accepted. We would rather tell you now than have you answer five questions to reach the same place.
What is still open
- If you submitted your application in time, your file continues to be processed normally.
- The arraigo, which has no closing date. It requires two years of continuous stay in Spain — not three — and arraigo familiar requires no minimum stay at all (art. 126.b of Royal Decree 1155/2024). See the social arraigo guide →
- If you have a pending asylum application, arraigo is not your route yet: art. 126.a requires that you are not an applicant for international protection when the application is filed or while it is processed, and that time does not count towards the two years either.

The Ministry also publishes its own official simulator at inclusion.gob.es. Both are orientative questionnaires and complementary; neither guarantees the final decision.
